Este departamento cuenta con aproximadamente 30 municipios que destinan parte de su territorio al cultivo de papa, siendo Ipiales (2.810 ha), Pupiales (2.652 ha), T\u00faquerres (2.253 ha) y Pasto (1.936 ha) los municipios lideres en producci\u00f3n de papa.
