SISPapa is an information tool that represents, through a dynamic and interactive viewer, soil information from potato-producing areas across the country impacted by the FNFP’s extension and technology transfer project. The system is designed as a consultation, extension, and educational tool focused on potato soils. Additionally, it includes a module to assist farmers in evaluating soil suitability on their farms.
The Geographic Information System for Potato Areas (SIGAP)
The Geographic Information System for Potato Areas (SIGAP) is a tool for visualizing and locating the annually planted potato areas by municipality and producing department. It allows users to view the Land Suitability Utilization Index (LSUI), which shows the current use of each municipality’s planting potential.
